“When young, enjoy life. When aging, make money. When you are old, do religion.” __ This notion is satanic.

We have more entertainment in this generation than ever. Exciting games. Great music. All kinds of social media platforms and so many ways of communication.

In the near past, people had a few games to play and no luxury living as we have it today, yet they were happier than most of us. In the near past, things lasted much longer than today. ( I am not saying the older days are better as we are warned in proverbs, but the point is that we have a great opportunity to do greater things in God’s kingdom).

Today we have the “so called human rights” which give us the privilege of living in sin in broad day light. We are even legally given the permission to live in sin and if confronted by Truth we get defensive and even violent in some cases.

We have reached a time where those who speak the truth are considered unloving. Pastors are now tempted to talk about what the people want to hear. When you preach the Truth, then you run the risk of losing “members”. Unfortunately, many “Preachers” have fallen into the trap and are busy entertaining their audience which is mostly comprised of unregenerate people.

In our world today, We only keep as friends those that tell us what we want to hear. We do not want friends who would look us in the eye, rebuking us for not being a good example that is worth of emulation.

However, what is interesting is that inspite of all the efforts to gratify our flesh, the generation is lonely and unsatisfied for the most part.

Why? Because we do not remember our creator. Because we are abandoning the Truth. The very bedrock of our being is under heavy attack. When truth is called a lie, then what else is left?

There is a place in every Soul that only God can satisfy. And that place has to do with Truth. And Jesus Christ is the Truth. Riches, women, great possessions, good friends, wine, etc won’t do. You can’t fill the place that only God can fill with worldly pleasures.

Why? Because we don’t have the Joy of the Lord which comes by obeying the great commission.

“There is True Joy in seeing others:

1. Saved_ being transformed from the inside

2. Sanctified_ growing in the knowledge of Christ and renewal of the mind

3. Discipleship_ those you discipled discipling others. (PARAPHRASED; learned)”

Unfortunately we are abandoning these fundamental principles.

If we put God and His agenda out of our way, we are setting ourselves up for frustration.

Ecclesiastes 12:1-14;

Remember your Creator while you are still Young….12:13-14

[13]Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

[14]For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
